At the turn of every year, GamesMarkt conducts a major industry survey to find out what the games industry thinks the coming year will bring. This year, almost 100 people from the GSA industry and Europe have given us their opinions and predictions for 2025. The second part is about trade fairs and events.

Unsurprisingly, gamescom still reigns supreme. With 73.9 top ratings, the Cologne fair remains the most important game fair in the eyes of the participants. However, this marks a decline of about ten per cent points of top ratings. Last year, every single participant gave gamescom a good or very good rating. Now, ratings are much more akin to the 2022 edition of our survey, with 6.5 per cent of undecided voices and 4.3 per cent giving the fair a more negative rating. Maybe this had something to ...
