The city-building game [Let Them Trade](/game/let-them-trade) will be released in Early Access for PC on 24 July 2025, announced developer [Spaceflower](/company/spaceflower) from Nuremberg and publisher [ByteRockers' Games](/company/byterockers-games) from Berlin. A new demo will also be released on 9 June as part of Steam Next Fest.

In Let Them Trade, which has a visual style reminiscent of a board game, players take on the role of a kingdom planner responsible for expanding and improving the lives of their citizens. They build a network of cities that produce and trade resources, upgrade their castle and protect the cities from bandits. The game is described on Steam as offering a relaxed city-building experience in a friendly atmosphere, clearly distinguishing it from puzzle games where players collect points by placing tiles, as well as from large-scale, time-consuming building games that span multiple eras.

ByteRockers' Games: "In order to expand your kingdom, you need to acquire the various resources scattered around the map, and trade them within your cities. Each city manages your citizens' needs autonomously and possesses their own unique budget and resources. If citizens in a given city are happy then they will pay higher taxes, ensuring that your city is not only more wealthy but also more generous in trade with your other cities. On the flip side, if a city's citizens are unhappy they will negatively impact not only their hometown but also the resources being traded to others. It's all about balance! Being successful isn't without its drawbacks, as wealthy cities are more prone to attacks by bandits and robbers. Thankfully, you can hire knights in order to protect your precious citizens and their chiseled wooden features."
